SSB 4 : Number of newcomers (Old issue)

12 playable characters in SSB 64. That number rose to 26 playable characters (-6 characters if you don't include the clones) in Melee which was +14 characters. Then that number rose to 39 playable characters (40 if you include Pokemon Trainer) which is a +13 character additions. Assume that their were 13 additions and apply what Sakurai said
"It isn't a matter of ‘If the next game has 50 characters, that'll be enough… There is a certain charm to games that have huge casts of playable characters, but they tend to have issues with game balance and it becomes very difficult to fine-tune each character and have them all feel distinctive."
This inevitably or probably means that there will be less characters added (Obviously) but by how many? Alright, there were 35 slots and we also know that Sakurai knows that there were 13 character additions since he himself included the 3 pokemons, Sheik and Samus. So... Let's see what he did during E3 with the 3 new comers. In the brawl hype era, the only characters with their own respective trailers are Snake and Sonic. In the first E3 trailer of Brawl, there were 5 revealed characters : Meta Knight, Pit, Samus, Wario and Snake. Everyone except Snake did not have their own character trailer probably because maybe it's stressful or too much work? I don't know. Most likely Sakurai wanted to make the 3rd parties feel special which is the usual business trick because the same thing was done in several other games that included 3rd party content (Asura's Wrath, Soul Calibur IV and also Smash 4 :P ) Now in Smash 4, it seems like all of the 3 characters got their own trailers. What does that mean? I mean sure, the first brawl E3 trailer had more characters.... by 2. Snake already had a trailer so that's by 1 now. I think this had something to do with the fact that Sora had to develop a lot of characters.

Maybe I'm over-analyzing. I'm basing this on something that's too unstable as evidence. I don't know. In my opinion.... I think there will be 5 at worst and 10 at best. Some people say 10 at least but honestly for me, it's 5 at the least.

SSB 4 : For the last time

So lately, I've been seeing that since Toad was seen as a moveset, all of a sudden and I don't know why Jr. and Paper Mario became "More likely" all of a sudden.

TL;DR : Toad becomes less likely, the other two don't change in their status.

I've kind of posted my opinion regarding this so I'll just quote it:
And remember, just because one character was shot down (Not really), doesn't change the chances of the other characters making it in. That merely means that there's less competition but that doesn't mean that they become likely out of no where. That just means the supporters have to worry about less things.
It's like Character balance (Sort of). You want this overpowered character to be nerfed to be on par with your bad and underpowered character. The problem is, if they nerf the overpowered character to your level or worse, it still doesn't change the fact that you are underpowered. So yeah. I don't have to use an overpowered character to compare to this situation. You can choose, a bad character on par with a bad character for this situation
Pretty much goes like this in picture:

SSB 4 : An in-depth analysis of our favorite innocent little villager

THE VILLAGER JOIN THE FIGHT! HOORAY!

So let's find out what the hell this guy can do! Note that I never played his demo in E3. Is there even a demo? I don't think so. I forgot. Whatever.

The villager has the ability to dig the ground and pitfall his foes or whatever. If you notice, the villager has some invincibility start up (I think). He flashes white at the beginning so I guess that's invincibility or maybe not. If it isn't invincibility then I don't see this move being that viable unless it has insane priority. I think it does. I don't know. I think the pit fall effect has higher priority than any other hitbox priority. That's my guess.

I think if this is used on ground, the bowling ball will simply roll along. Damn, if you can throw a bunch of these at the same time, that would be hell for the opponent. Although, the start up is noticeably sluggish so it's best to use this from a far or when you paralyze them with the shovel attack.

Similar to Lucas' and Ness' PSI Magnet and GW's oil spill special but only more boss. He GRABS the projectile and is able to throw it back. Holy crap, that's awesome.

The villager uses fireworks here. Damn, that's some nice range. The hit box looks like it's far from the villager making it a good anti air. I don't think using an aerial attack to clank it really sounds like a good idea.

The villager slaps the enemy with a turnip. Well, that's generic. Looks like his downward aerial. The range looks good from the looks of it.

Generic slingshot projectile. Maybe if you charge, the villager can fire more pellets.

Think this umbrella can nullify projectiles. Regardless, the range of this attack looks good.

Obviously, this balloon special is his recovery

A simple punch? Well that's generic. Looks like it has okay priority and range (Sort of)

Looks similar to Pika's skull bash and I guess it helps as a horizontal recovery. Oh also, this won't help in rushing down. Too predictable like those generic charging attacks. Since when did the Gyroid do this anyway? Forced much? MOVESET ARGUMENT IS INVALID BITCHES.

The root of all psycho villager memes. Don't know how this tree cutting works to be honest but it looks like it helps defensively... I think? I need more videos on this. It looks like it hits hard and it also looks like it has transcendent priority (Which means moves or any physics cannot interact with this)

OUCH. That's gonna hurt. This plant attack looks like it's gonna suck just like nearly every dash attack in the smash bros. series. Sad.

Now this weed pull attack looks interesting. I think from how it looks, it's either you can't interact with the attack OR it has insane priority. The range on this is awesome. Could be used as a defensive move.

Nothing much to say other than it looks short ranged and crappy... AND... HE HAZ.... THE STICK

So overall, the villager is looking like a long ranged fighter with a variety of long ranged looking attacks and those projectiles and trees and weed pulling. Yeah, honestly, he's looking like some sort of camper and I'm liking it but that's how I'm looking at the villager right now. What do you guys think? You think I'm right or wrong or I just suck? Leave your comments below.

Some reasons : Gunslingers are so awesome (Tank vanguards too)

Gunslingers are just so awesome. They're my personal favorite class and they're the only class along with guardians who have balanced specs (Marksman being all about burst damage - My personal favorite, Saboteur being AoE damage over time and defense and Dirty fighting being a pure damage over time spec). I know there are a bunch of people who didn't like this game but honestly, I like the game and it's one of my favorite games to play as of now. Here are the reasons why gunslingers are so awesome.

1) Awesome animations and great costumes (The looks)

The class has simply awesome and cowboy-esque animations. From aimed shot, to quickdraw and all that. All 3 specs give the cowboy-style and smuggler like feeling. Well, maybe not saboteur because I don't remember smugglers being fond of throwing charges and grenades at their enemies. Oh and, their costumes are simply awesome. You can be a space cowboy! How cool is that!? Maybe not for some but for me, damn that's just awesome.

2) Dual wielding

Two pistols are better than one right? This applies for the gunslinger. Although, having non-matching dual pistols tend to look weird and awkward, it's still cool to have two pistols. That's not to say that sniper rifles are lame and all that. In fact, there are some slick looking sniper rifles.

3) Playstyle, specializations and dat DPS

Their damage is insanely amazing. Holy crap, I thought that being a one-dimensional dps class would be lame but then I was wrong. IT'S SO FUN. HOLY CRAP. The specs of this class is amazing! Well balanced and not over powered even though if there are some players there raging about it. Really, they're not overpowered.

4) In PvP, this class is the dark-horse/hidden god class and  is also usually ignored (Low priority target)

Well, I wouldn't say God class but this class is awesome in PvP. Whenever you dive into the fray, no one attacks you (Most of the time) which means you get to burn them down while they take out the tanks and the healers. That's the perk of being a one-dimensional dps and the disadvantage of being a healer. As a healer, you're a walking target that has to stay mobile. As a dps, you just kill people and stuff. Really, that's all what you do against most classes. Don't take being ignored as an insult, it's more of an advantage.

-------------------------------------------------------

And that's it. Thanks for reading and if you didn't understand any of this then its-a-alright. Just needed to say this. Couldn't hold in my awe

Also, very old footage (Pre 2.0) of a vanguard tank. Vanguard tanks are better now but damn, this video is boss so yeah. Watch it if you're interested

Somethings : 09-14-13

Somethings is basically random opinions and thoughts on several things. Expect to see this a lot in this blog

1) This made my day
As much as I dislike or show disgust for Miley Cyrus or how much I like making fun of Nicholas Cage (But he was awesome in Kick-Ass), this was simply hilarious. Even if it lasted for 8 seconds. There are several pictures of Nicholas Cage's face on several stars. You should see the one with him and Miranda Cosgrove. It's hilarious.

2) Late but..... I'm incredibly excited for Super Mario 3D World
Which is why it's my background picture. First off, it revives the whole Super Mario Bros. 2 feel. It features the same attributes of each characters, Mario being the all-around character, Luigi being the highest jumper, Peach having the float ability and Toad being the fastest. Super jumping is back and holy hell it's 4-player multiplayer on a 3D environment that works better than the ever popular, rage inducing New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Wii U. The graphics look fantastic to be honest and the gameplay is looking awesome so far. I can't wait for this game and this game is one of the reasons why I don't mind Toad not getting in Smash 4.

3) Gamespot is retarded

So I heard that the dullness of Murfy's stages is accountable for a minus in rating. Seems legit. Giving the X360 and PS3 version a higher rating than the Wii U version. Sounds good *Clap* *Clap*. WOW. Just wow. I'm guessing Tom McShitShea is the one who made the review. Oh wait he did? Well fuck me. Mr. GiveSkywardSwordA7.5outofWhopping10Holyshit.

4) Mega Man 9
Nope. It's Might No. 9. Not Mega Man 9. Same creator from what I heard. Looking cool so far and this game is totally not blue at all. Amirite?

5) PS4 is kinda over hyped in my opinion
The graphics don't even look all that eye popping to be honest but my eyes are weak--- BUT TO BE HONEST, no. I don't see the difference that much. The controller's touch pad is honestly unnecessary crap and should have stayed the same as the PS3/2 controller layout. There were good games that were revealed. I know that. I think that's the only thing that's attracting me to the console. DEM GAMES. Other than that, the console itself and its features aren't that captivating. Oh right, I'm not a Nintendo Fanboy. As you can see, I didn't buy a Wii U.... Yet. So.... Am I gonna buy a PS4? Depends on the price and the reviews.

6) Toad is the best

But blue shells are better

SSB 4 : Ridley and Toad - There's hope! (Not so much though)

First post here. Whoo pee doo. First thing I want to talk about is the recent new pictures

So recently, the new DOJO pictures came out and those dojo pictures apparently somehow disprove Toad and Ridley's entrance to Smash Bros 4. Saddening but it's Sakurai's choice but I wouldn't go as far as saying that these pictures blew their chances into the sarlacc pit. So why exactly? Might as well go into this. I'm not the type who'd prove that "X" is likely or "X" won't get in. I prefer disproving arguments against how hopeless "X" is or whatever. (WARNING : Don't hold your breath and keep your fingers crossed)

We start with Toad

Alright, we saw a picture of him being a moveset which was pretty much a sucker punch but that doesn't mean that Sakurai could actually put Toad in the roster. I mean.... There several Toads of that color. It may look illogical but how can that be illogical to begin with anyway? It's pretty much common knowledge that even the dumbest person in the world could notice when playing a Mario game would notice that there are several Toads of the same color. Don't give me things like Sakurai wouldn't care about that. Even he knows that and if he doesn't know that then that's probably one of the reasons why he left Nintendo (Just kidding but seriously, he knows that and I'm sure of it). And then we have the shady description "Moveset may change (Or something along those lines)." People might say, "Sakurai put that ONLY about changing the moveset attributes of Peach. The problem with this is that saying that is also illogical because what's the point of telling this to us? We don't even see the percentage meter, how much the move damages, where's the details about the moves. The elements? Did he just say that even if we didn't know jack about the moveset and their traits? If you say that he might change some moves in terms of aesthetics or whatever then Toad's pretty much a possible change there.

The problem, and will always be, is that he's still a moveset. Because of this, my fingers were crossed and I bet several supporters are doing the same but there are some points against Toad that just seem not fully correct. There's still hope for Toad. Just because one character (The most likely or at least one of the likely ones) was shot down, doesn't mean that the others will take the throne to being the next mario rep. Even though one has been (Almost) shutdown, it doesn't mean that those other characters have automatically skyrocketed to being likely as the next rep. This doesn't change the fact that Jr. and Paper Mario have things going against them (That are not related to any other character that can take their position as the new Mario character). Hell, there might not be a new Mario character and I've been leaning to that ever since I left speculating for a long while.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, now we go to Ridley

The only good thing about this? No pictures of Ridley being shown as a stage hazard.

Problem, there's no doubt that it's him (Almost) but since there's no photo of it, there's hope.

And also this guy (Shooting down dreams :c )
"Although people still think Ridley will get in, I lost hope for that already. People are gonna be like, "NANANANANAW RIDLEY WILL GET IN. SAKURAI " Well then if that's what you believe in then so be it. You might say that Sakurai won't like the backlash but then again, just my thoughts.
And the quote says... "An enemy from Samus's past may appear at any second…" Oh who could it be? Of all places, it's in the pyrosphere where in you fight THAT bad*** and he IS an ENEMY from Samus' past and she even had FLASHBACKS of HIM (Sort of I guess : Can't post links here so search it in Youtube "Other M Ridley scene"). And I will requote : "An enemy from Samus's PAST". You guys might pull out something like, "That might not be the real Ridley." Okay, does Sakurai even care about the details? I wouldn't be this pessimistic if there were a vague post like "This stage is not final" or whatever (One of the reasons why I still think Toad has a small or negligible chance of getting in but I'm crossing my fingers)
I'm sorry if I'm trying to get your hopes down. Haha. I was kidding. This doesn't de-confirm Ridley to be honest (Not really). If there's anyone that can disprove this somehow then I'd be very welcome to embrace that because I really need it so I can go back to supporting one of the characters I want in SSB4 rather than degrading them because I'm somewhat frustrated. Don't expect me to get stoked so easily"
THEN AGAIN, this does not dis-confirm Toad and Ridley :|

It's just making things a bit *shudder* nerve-wrecking

----------------------------------------

So yeah. Good luck. Always be ready for the worst and expect the worst. Don't get too positive. I wouldn't jump the gun on these two so keep your eyes open for news
